Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE).
• Option A: 15+ years in railway signalling/telecom with 10+ years in related roles; consultancy/private sector.
• Option B: 7+ years in JA Grade or above in S&T in Railway/PSU or equivalent; 3+ years in maintenance/construction of signalling systems.

Responsibilities

• Review SIPs, cable cores and route plans; verify accuracy and approvals.
• Oversee deployment, testing, and integration of EI/CBI systems.
• Guide TCAS/KAVACH deployments per IRS/RDSO specs and safety manuals.
• Verify circuit books, SER/ALH rooms, and power wiring diagrams.
• Lead multi-disciplinary site teams; monitor schedules and resources; liaise with authorities.
• Ensure compliance with IRS specs, RDSO guidelines, and safety manuals.
• Resolve on-site signalling/telecom interface issues and failures.

Job description

Role : Team Leader cum Project Manager - Railway signalling & telecommunication works

Key Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and approve Signalling Interlocking Plans (SIP), cable core and route plans
• Oversee the deployment, testing, and system integration of Electronic Interlocking (EI), Computer-Based Interlocking (CBI) systems
• Guide the implementation, maintenance, and testing of Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS)/KAVACH deployments in accordance with RDSO and IRS specifications.
• Verify indoor and outdoor circuit books, relay huts, electronic interlocking rooms (SER, ALH), and power supply wiring diagrams.
• Lead multi-disciplinary site teams and contractors; monitor project schedules, resource allocation, and milestones using Primavera P6 or MS Project; coordinate with railway authorities and statutory bodies for inspections, safety clearances, and approvals.
• Ensure strict adherence to Indian Railways Standard (IRS) specifications, RDSO guidelines, and applicable safety manuals.
• Resolve critical on-site technical failures, signal breakdowns, and interface issues across signalling, telecom, civil, and electrical domains.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelor of Engineering / Bachelor of Technology (B.E. / B.Tech.) in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE).

Experience Requirements

• Option A (Consultancy / Private Sector): Minimum 15 years of professional experience with at least 10 years in at least 10 years’ experience in railway signalling/telecommunication works.
• Option B (Railway / PSU Background): At least 7 years’ experience in JA Grade and/or above in S&T Department of Railway and/or as equivalent to JA grade and above in S&T department in RITES/IRCON/RVNL or equivalent grade in Konkan Railway/ MRVC/ DFCCIL/ SPVs with Ministry of Railways, any Metro Rail Corporation either individually or combined. The candidate should also meet the criteria of having experience of at least three years in maintenance/construction of Signalling system in any grade.
