Job summary

Atulaya Healthcare in Bathinda is seeking a PET/CT radiology technologist to operate and handle PET/CT scanning equipment in a safe, efficient manner, following established protocols. You will prepare patients, verify details, assist with positioning, acquire high-quality diagnostic images, monitor during procedures, ensure proper documentation, and adhere to radiation protection and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate and handle PET/CT scanning equipment efficiently and safely.
• Prepare patients for PET/CT procedures as per established protocols.
• Verify patient details, scan requisition, and relevant clinical information.
• Assist in patient positioning and ensure proper immobilization during scanning.
• Follow prescribed PET/CT protocols and imaging procedures.
• Perform image acquisition and ensure good-quality diagnostic images.
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to any discomfort or adverse reactions.
• Follow all radiation protection and safety protocols.
• Handle radioactive materials/radiopharmaceuticals strictly as per departmental safety procedures and under authorized supervision.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the PET/CT room and equipment.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report technical issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate patient, scan, dose, and equipment-related records.
• Coordinate with Nuclear Medicine Physicians, Radiologists, Radiographers, and other clinical staff.
• Ensure proper documentation and timely completion of examinations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow hospital/centre policies.
• Participate in quality control and departmental audits as required.
