Manipal Hospitals in Raipur is seeking a Radiation Protection & ALARA Compliance lead to develop and enforce hospital-wide radiation safety policies and procedures. You will ensure exposures stay within legal limits through ALARA principles and collaborate with clinical teams to maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities include licensing, regulatory liaison, dosimetry program management, waste handling, and documentation.

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and enforce hospital-wide radiation safety policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure occupational and public radiation exposures remain strictly within legal limits using the ALARA framework.
• Maintain and renew institutional licenses, permits, and registrations for radioactive materials, X-ray equipment, CT scanners, and nuclear medicine facilities.
• Act as the primary liaison during inspections and queries from regulatory agencies (e.g., AERB)
• Manage personnel monitoring programs (e.g., TLD badges, film badges, or pocket dosimeters) for staff in radiology, cardiology, and nuclear medicine.
• Review quarterly exposure reports, investigate dose limit exceedances, and counsel declared-pregnant workers
• Oversee the safe receipt, storage, inventory, and disposal of radioactive isotopes and radiopharmaceuticals.
• Maintain logs and oversee compliant effluent or waste release
