Job summary

Cvent in India seeks an Individual Contributor for transactional accounting. You will handle bank reconciliations, ensure payments and payables are posted accurately, and support monthly closings with schedules for pre-payments, accruals, depreciation, and deferred income.

Ideal candidates have 3–4 years in transactional accounting, strong Excel skills, familiarity with ERP (EBS), and good communication. US-GAAP knowledge is a plus; multi-tasking and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Accounting background and understanding of transactional accounting.
• 3–4 years of experience in a transactional accounting role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Knowledge of ERP package, preferably Oracle EBS.
• Knowledge of US-GAAP is a plus.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and coordination.
• Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Bank reconciliation and ensuring all bank accounts are reconciled.
• Post payments in the console/payables system and manage accounts payable.
• Assist in monthly closure and prepare schedules/entries for month end.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for various accounts.
• Support internal/external financial audits and analysis.

Individual contributor ensuring below deliverables are done within the timelines:

• Bank reconciliation
• Ensuring all bank accounts are reconciled
• Knowledge of transactional accounting
• Ensuring all payments are posted in console portal
• Accounts payable process
• Good understanding of Accounts payable process & accounting entries
• Knowledge of transactional accounting
• Ensuring all payments are posted in console portal
• Assistance in Monthly Closure of books of accounts (Cvent Inc.)
• Preparation of schedule and entries on each month close for following accounts:
• Pre-payments, accruals, fixed asset depreciation, and deferred income
• Preparing Balance sheet reconciliations for various Balance sheet accounts
• Support yearly Financial Audits
• Perform various financial and accounting analysis

What You Will Need for this Position

• Accounting background
• 3 to 4 years of experience in transactional accounting role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Knowledge of ERP Package, preferably EBS.
• Knowledge of US-GAAP will be an added advantage
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and coordination skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
