Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Electronics, Control Systems, or related engineering field.
• PM certification (PMP) is advantageous and relevant PM experience is valued.
• Experience in PM for R&D in software/control system development, preferably in power conversion, grid integration, or high-power converter control software.
• Proficient with MS Office, SAP and MS Project.
• Strong proactive, organized, and structured working style with focus on quality, traceability, and delivery commitments.
• Experience leading cross-functional, globally distributed teams.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Hold overall responsibility for managing assigned R&D projects within the power conversion domain.
• Serve as the project’s key contact; build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage and follow up with suppliers.
• Define all project plan deliverables, including scope, financial plans, and schedule.
• Ensure project execution follows Hitachi Energy policies; monitor progress and resource utilization.
• Control project financials according to budget and forecast of R&D work.
• Handle administrative tasks related to project management.
• Maintain stakeholder relations and act as escalation point for project issues.

• Job Description Summary

As our R&D Project Manager you will become one of the key persons in organizing the delivery of power quality solutions to the rest of our organization. In this role you will work directly with cross-functional team members to ensure that our solutions are delivered and executed in alignment with the overall delivery project priorities

How You’ll Make An Impact

• You will hold the overall responsibilities for the management of assigned R&D project within the power conversion business.
• Act as key contact for the project. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Manage administrative tasks related to project management.
• Stakeholder relations: Acts as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues. Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders.

Your background

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Power Electronics, Control Systems, or a related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience in project management for R&D in software/control system development, preferably within power conversion, grid integration, or high-power converter control software domains.
• Possessing a Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification, along with relevant project management experience, is considered an additional advantage.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP and Microsoft Project.
• Highly proactive, organised, and structured working style, with a strong focus on quality, traceability, and delivery commitments.
• Strong ability to lead cross-functional and globally distributed teams, coordinating across control engineering, software, hardware, testing and cybersecurity teams.
• Excellent risk, issue, and change management capability.
• Excellent ability to resolve issues, lead teams and work constructively with external and internal relations.
• Confident leadership presence with the ability to guide teams through complex technical challenges and field escalations
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
