EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) is hiring a full-stack engineer (front-end focused) to join the Risk and Compliance Engineering team. You will design and implement modern web applications using React/TypeScript with Java-based services, collaborate across distributed teams, and contribute to scalable APIs, microservices, and cloud-enabled solutions.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-stack application development experience with React and Java.
• Strong hands-on with React.js, TypeScript, and modern front-end practices.
• Deep understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), responsive design.

You will work on designing and implementing modern web applications with a focus on front-end development using Angular or React.js with TypeScript. Your key responsibilities

• Front-End Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using React, TypeScript and Java-based technologies.
• API Integration: Work with REST APIs and GraphQL services for data integration.
• Back-End Development: Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.
• CI/CD Management: Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Azure DevOps.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Technology Updates: Stay updated with emerging web technologies and apply best practices in performance and security.

Skills and attributes for success

Required Skills:

• 4+ years of experience in full-stack application development with strong expertise in React and Java technologies.
• Strong hands‑on experience with React.js, TypeScript, and modern front-end development practices.
• Deep understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), responsive design, and browser compatibility.
• Experience with state management libraries, component‑driven architecture, reusable UI development, and front-end performance optimization.
• Strong proficiency in Core Java (Java 8+) and object‑oriented programming principles.
• Hands‑on experience with Multithreading, Concurrency, Collections Framework, Java Streams, and Functional Programming concepts.
• Strong understanding of asynchronous programming using CompletableFuture, Executor Framework, and Thread Pools.
• Good knowledge of JVM internals, memory management, garbage collection, and performance tuning.
• Extensive experience in developing enterprise applications using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Data JPA.
• Experience in designing and developing Microservices-based architectures.
• Strong understanding of RESTful Web Services, API design standards, and integration patterns.
• Hands‑on experience implementing application security using OAuth2, JWT, and role‑based access controls.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or similar technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or equivalent.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong proficiency with Git and modern source control practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Domain: Prior experience in the Financial Services / FS Risk domain.
• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile development practices and methodologies.
• Problem‑Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
• Familiarity with AI/GenAI concepts, such as LLM fundamentals and prompt engineering. Ability to work with AI APIs or AI-powered components in application development.

Education:

Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
