Job summary

SYSTRA India invites applications for a Quantity Surveyor on the Mumbai Coastal Road Project. The role focuses on cost control, budgeting, and commercial management of complex civil works.

You will prepare estimates, review BOQs, evaluate quotations, and certify payments, ensuring alignment with contracts and project goals. The ideal candidate has a Diploma in Civil Engineering/Surveying with 12+ years of experience, including billing/contract engineering, and proficiency in Excel, CostX,

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering/Surveying required with relevant registration.
• Minimum 12 years of professional experience including 5 years as Billing cum Contract Engineer.
• Strong numeracy, cost estimation, budgeting, and contract administration skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
• Measure and quantify materials, labor, and equipment requirements.
• Prepare and review BOQ and tender documents.
• Evaluate and compare contractor and supplier quotations.
• Manage and monitor project costs to keep within budget.
• Certify interim and final payments to contractors.
• Prepare cost reports and financial statements for stakeholders.
• Assist in contract administration and management.
• Identify and resolve variations and changes in project scope.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost planning.
• Advise on procurement strategies and contract types.
• Negotiate with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and contractual obligations.

We are seeking applications for the position of Quantity Surveyor for Mumbai Coastal Road Project

Missions/Main Duties

• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
• Measure and quantify materials, labor, and equipment requirements
• Prepare and review bills of quantities (BOQ) and tender documents
• Evaluate and compare contractor and supplier quotations
• Manage and monitor project costs to keep within budget
• Assess and certify interim and final payments to contractors
• Value completed works and arrange payments
• Prepare cost reports and financial statements for stakeholders
• Assist in contract administration and management
• Identify, evaluate, and resolve variations and changes in project scope
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost planning
• Advise on procurement strategies and contract types
• Negotiate with clients, contractors, and suppliers
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and contractual obligations
• Support the settlement of claims and disputes
• Maintain comprehensive records of project costs, contracts, and correspondence
