Job summary

Innomotics is seeking an Operational Quality Professional - Testing to join the team at the Mumbai facility. The role focuses on performing customer inspections, executing tests, documenting results, and resolving queries while adhering to EHS guidelines.

You will support product development through prototype testing and maintain critical test equipment. Ideal candidates have hands-on testing experience, familiarity with calibration and measurement tools, and strong communication to interact

Qualifications

• Experience in quality inspections, test documentation, and results analysis.
• Familiarity with 5S and safe working practices.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interactions.
• Ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute customer inspections independently including testing, documentation, result analysis, and MOM closure.
• Participate in new product development through prototype/investigative testing.
• Maintain test setup equipment such as electric panels, motors, generators, transformers, and instrumentation; perform basic troubleshooting.
• Perform testing and maintenance following safety procedures and EHS guidelines.
• Contribute to quality procedures for new product development and ensure adherence to checkpoints and sign-offs.

JOB SUMMARY

(HV Motors & MV Drives Factory)

• Execute customer inspections independently which includes conducting test, doing test documentation, analyze results, resolve customer queries & conclude inspection through formal MOM
• Participate in new product development process through prototype/investigative testing
• Maintenance of various test setup equipment’s such electric panels, motor, generator, transformer, instrumentation. Doing the basis trouble shooting in case of any breakdowns/issue.
• Execute the testing, maintenance activity following all safety procedures & strict adherence to EHS Guidelines.
• Should be familiar with 5S & implement improvement measures in own area
• Contribute to development and adoption of appropriate Quality procedures in case of new product development
• Document results in the systems and initiates necessary corrective action with the support of respective department
• Familiar with QMS : ISO 9001 & should be able to follow the quality system
• He should have basis knowledge of calibration of instrument.
• Knowledge about drive, PLC, maintenance & trouble shooting will be added advantage.
• Person should have good communication skills as this position will be directly interacting with customer
• Person should have good interpersonal skills & good team player
• Ensure no motor/drive proceeds without passing mandatory quality checks.
• Monitor adherence to checkpoints, inspection records, and digital sign-off.

• Reduce recurring defects in coils, windings, VPI impregnation, assembly alignment, insulation failures, and testing deviations.

• Identify supplier-related issues during production (copper cracks, insulation tears, machining variations, PCB failures).
• Coordinate with SQE and incoming inspection for fast resolution.

• Ensure correct usage of gauges, micrometres, torque tools, multimeters, PD testers, and electrical instruments.
