Quality initiatives, sourcing strategies and efficiencies pursuant to AGCO's Farmer First model and NPS aspirations. The Quality Inspector will prepare, perform and document all elements of materials testing inclusive of casting, forging, heat treat, machining, mechanical properties, certifications failure analysis for root causes for the purposes of part level PPAP / ISIR in the APQP process for part validation and approval for AGCO's serial production at its Global factories. The Quality Inspector will perform inspections on advanced level inspection equipment and many other forms of mechanical inspection that are aligned with the level of accuracy required by the part tolerance and critical characteristics. The incumbent will have deep operational skills and training on reputable industry equipment brands and models. The Quality Inspector will asses each part for the proper inspection criteria, perform the inspections and manage the final reports. Coupled with this is communication and collaboration between the supplier of the part and the inspection to manage and point for clarity, inspection concerns, inspection rejections relative to the metallurgical needs. Further, the Quality Inspector will need to collaborate with the AGCO factory Quality department of the intended serial part in the event there are application topics, clarity for inspection criteria or technical points that require validation. The Quality Inspector will need to operate in an environment that is focused on compliance to industry standards, facility competency, lab process flow, efficiency, safety and lab site communications between AGCO manufacturing locations. The position must effectively and efficiently collaborate globally with Regional Supplier Quality teams, Global Purchasing, Manufacturing as well as the varying elements of a Supplier / Supplier's Quality to attain the necessary quality and performance levels that fulfill AGCO's "Farmer First" vision. The incumbent requires a strong acumen and engagement with other Metrology Lab Inspectors and Metallurgist to operate effectively across functions, countries, and brands. The incumbent is expected to have proven experience in operating in an manufacturing industry with critical industrial parts in many forms or commodities and materials. Finally excellent analytical skills to be able to understand the requirements and specifications for AGCO product.
