The Supplier Quality Engineer – EME: Gears, Machining, Forgings & Transmission will be instrumental in the Global commodity, EME based suppliers, for quality development and management of the AGCO supply base for the designated Commodity / Category. The role involves advanced techniques such as advanced process management and lean / 6 sigma practices. It also includes the execution of AGCO’s supplier performance system (APEX), preparing and validating supplier and user information, creating supplier performance scorecards and reports, interpreting data and results, and communicating supplier performance to senior management and supply chain commodity teams. The role requires collaboration globally with Regional Supplier Quality teams, Global Purchasing, the BCC Office, and other functions to attain AGCO’s “Farmer First” vision.
Your Impact
- Complete integration to Global Procurement Leadership (GCD and GCM) to ensure Company standards for quality are included in the supplier selection strategy and maintenance processes.
- Strategic alignment with BCC / LCC initiatives that align with geopolitics, cost and urgency while maintaining Brand / local quality standards.
- Achievement of all defined KPI targets for the Product Integrity - Supplier Quality process that impacts machine quality internally within the manufacturing plants and machine reliability externally.
- Collaborate with regional / manufacturing site based SQ personnel (Quality Manager, SQ Manager, and SQE) to deploy World Class Supply Base in terms of Quality.
- Work with regional / manufacturing site SQE personnel to resolve supplier performance issues that originate from the supplier quality area of the machine lifecycle to ensure root cause issues are resolved going forward.
Your Experience And Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience, expert knowledge in the commodity/category of Plastics & Rubber, and 4 years’ experience in Durable Goods, Heavy Equipment and/or Agriculture industry.
- Experience working with suppliers and leading supply chain quality improvement efforts.
- Experience in successfully interfacing within a Global enterprise across multiple support sites and functions. Strong presentation competency and business acumen.
- Ability to drive change and compliance to a standard process across a functional team.
- Mid to advanced English written and oral communication skills; experience in a multi‑cultural enterprise.
