Job summary

NEWAGE TECH SOLUTION PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineering Leader to define and drive the quality strategy, including test automation frameworks, shift-left testing, and CI/CD-integrated quality gates.

You will lead and mentor a team of quality/automation engineers, architect automation frameworks for functional, API, performance, and regression testing, and partner with development teams to embed quality practices early in the SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the quality engineering strategy, including test automation frameworks, shift-left testing, and CI/CD-integrated quality gates
• Lead and mentor a team of quality/automation engineers, setting technical direction and reviewing deliverables
• Architect and oversee automation frameworks for functional, API, performance, and regression testing
• Partner with development teams to embed quality practices early in the software development lifecycle
• Define and track quality engineering metrics including defect leakage, automation coverage, and release quality trends
• Drive adoption of performance testing, security testing, and non-functional quality practices across projects
• Evaluate and introduce quality engineering tools, frameworks, and practices to improve efficiency and coverage
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Conduct quality reviews and audits to ensure adherence to engineering and testing best practices
• Present quality engineering roadmaps, metrics, and improvement plans to senior leadership
