Job summary

Yeemak Private Limited is seeking a Quality Engineer with hands-on experience in Powder Coating Quality to ensure process and product quality as per defined standards.

The role involves monitoring quality at various stages, inspecting DFT, adhesion, color/shade, and gloss, and maintaining records of quality tests. You will drive continual improvement and coordinate with production teams to reduce rejections.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in powder coating quality control.
• Hands-on QA across coating process stages.
• Experience with DFT, adhesion, color/shade, gloss and surface finish.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control quality at powder coating stages.
• Inspect components for DFT, adhesion, colour/shade, gloss and surface finish.
• Identify defects such as orange peel, pinholes, craters, scratches, uneven coating.
• Maintain records of DFT, cross-hatch/adhesion, salt spray tests.
• Monitor pretreatment and coating process parameters.
• Ensure proper curing per defined temperature and time.
• Handle customer complaints, NCR, CAPA and root-cause analysis.
• Prepare quality reports and inspection records.
• Coordinate with Production and Process teams for rejection reduction and CI.
• Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and customer requirements.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Quality Engineer with hands‑on experience in Powder Coating Quality to ensure process and product quality as per defined standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control quality at various stages of the powder coating process.
• Inspect powder‑coated components for DFT, adhesion, colour/shade, gloss and surface finish.
• Identify and control defects such as orange peel, pinholes, craters, scratches, uneven coating and colour variation.
• Conduct and maintain records of DFT, cross‑hatch/adhesion, salt spray and other quality tests.
• Monitor pre-treatment and powder coating process parameters.
• Ensure proper curing as per defined temperature and time requirements.
• Handle customer complaints, NCR, CAPA and root-cause analysis.
• Prepare quality reports and maintain inspection records.
• Coordinate with Production and Process teams for rejection reduction and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and customer requirements.

Required Skills:

• Hands‑on experience in Powder Coating Quality.
• Knowledge of DFT, adhesion/cross‑hatch, gloss and salt spray testing.
• Knowledge of powder coating defects and troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of 7 QC Tools, RCA, CAPA and 8D.
• Good inspection and documentation skills.
• Experience in sheet metal / appliance / automotive manufacturing will be preferred.

Qualification: Diploma / BE / B.Tech – Mechanical / Production / Quality Engineering.
