SPM HYDRAULICS seeks a Hydraulic Quality Engineer to oversee QC, inspection, and testing for hydraulic cylinders and HPUs. You will ensure raw materials, machined parts, and assemblies meet design specs, tolerances, and ISO standards through robust QA processes.
The role emphasizes FAT oversight, RCAs, CAPA actions, and supplier quality programs to sustain reliability across heavy hydraulic manufacturing.
We are seeking a Hydraulic Quality Engineer to oversee quality control, inspection, and testing for our hydraulic cylinder and power unit (HPU) manufacturing operations. You will ensure all raw materials, machined components, hydraulic assemblies, and finished systems strictly meet design specifications, pressure tolerances, and industry quality standards.
Inspection & Testing: Lead incoming, in-process, and final inspection of raw materials, seals, machined components, finished cylinders, and assembled HPUs.
Testing Oversight: Supervise and validate Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), including high-pressure hydrostatic testing, cylinder proof pressure, internal leakage, and HPU flow/thermal performance.
Non-Conformance Management: Drive root cause analysis (RCA) for component failures, internal non-conformances and customer returns;implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
Supplier Quality: Conduct supplier audits, inspect incoming material and resolve vendor material defects.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of quality control/assurance experience in hydraulic, heavy machinery, or precision mechanical manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of GD&T, CMM precision measurement tools, hydrostatic testing, and fluid cleanliness standards (ISO 4406).
Proficiency with ISO 9001 QMS frameworks, CAPA processes, and root cause analysis techniques.
