Job Description
As a Quality Engineer, you will be a key driver of product reliability and release quality. You will collaborate with the Claims Manager software development teams, product owners, and operations team to ensure seamless platform enhancements through testing, defect resolution, and continuous improvement. By leveraging both automated and manual testing, you will safeguard data services, APIs, and integrations. Your ability to manage test planning, execution, and root cause analysis will streamline development processes and enhance overall product stability. Through strong collaboration and a commitment to learning, you will play a vital role in advancing quality engineering and delivering high‑performing solutions.
What you will do
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for web, and/or enterprise software applications.
- Ensure testing is aligned with both functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Collaborate with QA team and foster a culture of quality across the team.
- Contribute to design, development, and execution of automated test scripts.
- Perform manual testing when needed for complex scenarios or when automation is not feasible. Participate in exploratory testing and support the development of robust testing documentation.
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and product owners to understand product features and requirements.
- Identify, report, and track defects using appropriate issue tracking tools (e.g., JIRA). Work closely with the development team to prioritize and resolve issues.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement by reviewing testing processes, identifying areas for automation, and implementing improvements to ensure better product quality and faster time to market.
- Ensure that software releases meet all quality criteria, including participating in release planning, coordinating final testing efforts, and sign‑off for production releases.
What you will bring
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in QA with automation.
- Familiar with QA in agile setting.
- Able to write automation tests when developers develop code related to a story.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD and integration of automation into CI/CD.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with developers and product owners.
- Understanding of databases and SQL for backend testing.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
What we would like to see
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering (B.E./B. Tech), MCA, or a related field.
- Healthcare revenue cycle experience preferred.
- Good understanding of automation frameworks like TestNg, Selenium, SoapUI, RestSharp, etc.
- Understanding of security and login with automation.
- Generating system load with automation.
- Knowledge of software development best practices.
- Able to monitor code quality and unit test coverage, security vulnerabilities.
