Quality Engineer ensures compliance with quality standards in precast production by conducting inspections, managing documentation, and implementing quality control procedures. The role focuses on process improvement, risk management, and supporting quality mix designs while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and defect reduction.
B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering,
3-10 years Precast Industry prefferable
Conduct detailed inspections of precast components and materials to ensure conformance to specifications. Apply IS codes and understand tolerance limits to verify quality benchmarks are consistently achieved.
Develop and execute robust quality control procedures to monitor product quality at various production stages. Implement standardized quality assurance methods and ensure proper documentation.
Analyze existing production workflows to identify inefficiencies or non-compliance issues.
Drive process improvement initiatives and proactively implement risk mitigation plans to prevent quality failures. Investigate quality issues and conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify the origin of defects. Recommend and execute corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurrence.
Maintain accurate quality records, including inspection logs, deviation reports, test results, and audit outcomes. Ensure compliance with ISO and organizational documentation protocols.
Support quality oversight in concrete mix designs, ensuring raw materials and mix proportions meet strength, durability, and compliance requirements. Monitor the influence of material variations on quality.
Work closely with production, design, factory, and procurement teams to align quality expectations and resolve product non-conformance issues effectively.
Assist in maintaining ISO and regulatory compliance across quality systems through internal audits, documentation control, and adherence to SOPs.
