Job summary

1000 Farms is seeking a Quality Assurance Team Lead to own the quality function at our coconut and organic food facility near Coimbatore. This senior, hands-on role requires leading a QA/QC team, ensuring certification compliance, and taking full ownership of quality from farm to finished product.

The role requires 5–8 years in food manufacturing with team leadership, and hands-on experience with organic certifications (NPOP/USDA/EU/JAS). Accommodation is provided for on-site work.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Own QC from raw material receipt to finished product dispatch.
• Manage organic certification records, audits, and renewals end-to-end.
• Oversee inspections, sampling, testing across materials and products.
• Maintain batch records, COAs, specs, and traceability systems.
• Drive CAPA for deviations and non-conformities.
• Coordinate with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, R&D and Packaging.
• Prepare for external audits and customer inspections.

This is a senior, hands‑on role for someone ready to lead a QA/QC team, drive certification compliance, and take full ownership of quality from farm to finished product.

Location: ~45 minutes from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu (on‑site)

Role: Quality Assurance Team Lead

Experience: 5–8 years (MUST HAVE) in food manufacturing / processing, including team leadership

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Proven experience owning organic certification compliance end‑to‑end is mandatory — including hands‑on management of NPOP / India Organic, USDA Organic, EU Organic and JAS Organic. You should have led certification audits, maintained full traceability, closed non‑conformities, and coordinated directly with certification bodies.

What You'll Own

• Lead and mentor the QA/QC team, setting standards and driving a quality‑first culture
• Own quality control from raw‑material receipt through processing to finished‑product dispatch
• Manage organic certification records, segregation, audits and renewals end‑to‑end
• Oversee inspections, sampling and testing across raw materials, in‑process and finished goods
• Maintain batch records, specifications, COAs, inspection reports and traceability systems
• Investigate deviations, non‑conformities and complaints, and drive CAPA to closure
• Lead supplier quality evaluation and reviews
• Coordinate across Production, Procurement, Warehouse, R&D and Packaging
• Prepare for and lead external audits and customer inspections

Strong working knowledge of FSSAI, GMP/GHP, HACCP, SOPs, sanitation, pest control, calibration, traceability and recall systems, and lab documentation. ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000 / BRCGS implementation experience — strongly preferred.

Preferred Background

Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Agriculture, Dairy Technology, Oil Technology or Quality Management. Experience leading quality for coconut products, spices or certified organic food is a strong advantage.
