Quality Assurance Lead

Job summary

RWS is seeking a QA Lead with a shift-left mindset to influence requirements, design and sprint planning, not just test execution. You will articulate what QA contributes at each phase of the lifecycle and help shape automation strategy for mobile apps.

You will lead offshore testing, build scalable automated suites (XCUITest/Espresso), partner with Product, Design, and Engineering, and drive high quality releases within an Agile CI/CD pipeline.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software quality engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior/lead capacity.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and enhancing automated test frameworks for native mobile applications using XCUITest (iOS) and/or Espresso (Android).
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language, such as Swift or Kotlin.
• Experience testing mobile applications across different devices and environments, with an understanding of common mobile quality considerations.
• Experience with exploratory testing, regression testing, and test case management.
• Experience with API testing and strong backend literacy, including the use of tools such as Postman and Charles Proxy.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Ability to contribute to automation design decisions and develop maintainable solutions that can be effectively supported by both engineering and distributed QA teams.
• Experience collaborating and communicating with cross-functional teams.
