Baker Hughes Company is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join the Enterprise technology team. You will test features to ensure functionality and quality, collaborating with the team to refine testing processes and accelerate improvements in a fast-moving environment.

The role requires 6+ years of professional experience, Java testing, Selenium, and experience with SOAP/REST services and VM-based test infra. Joining bonus, flexible patterns, and a strong QA culture are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or MCA with relevant QA/testing experience.
• Experience writing Java code for testing solution code (white-box testing).
• Proven experience with Selenium and GitHub in QA workflows.
• Experience testing web services (SOAP/REST) and working with VM-based test infrastructure.

As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for testing features to ensure functionality, quality. You will collaborate with team to ensure testing processes are thorough and to identify improvements and enhancements. You will be able to develop your skill-set quickly in a fast-moving environment.

As a Quality Assurance Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Owning medium-sized quality engineering tasks; and delivers while mentoring and helping team members
• Making technology choices at individual level and has ability to analyze impact
• Applying principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
• Integrating project testing with continuous-integration process
• Working with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions
• Providing expertise in the quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project
• Developing and executes maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have Bachelor's Degree BE/ B.Tech/ M.Tech or MCA with minimum 6 years of professional experience.
• Demonstrated experience and ability to write Java code for the purposes of testing solution code (e.g., white-box testing).
• Have a good experience in Selenium and Github
• Have experience of testing web services (SOAP/REST; Throughput, Performance under Load, etc.)- Have experience in working with virtual machines (VMs) as part of a test/integration infrastructure
• Strong oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective team building and problem solving abilities
• Persists to completion, especially in the face of overwhelming odds and setbacks.
