Job description

This is an FTC hiring for the contract period of 1st February, 2025 to 31st October, 2025.

The role will be that of a QAE I for India Stores - Promotions Tech Team.

Key job responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scripts to validate product functionality, performance, and usability across various promotion constructs.
2. Identify, log, and track software defects and issues, ensuring they are appropriately documented, prioritized, and resolved in a timely manner.
3. Perform both manual and automated testing, ensuring test coverage and that the software is free of defects, consistent with business requirements. Hands on with UI and API automation using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, REST Assured, Appium etc.
4. Experience with at least one programming/scripting language such as Python, Java or JavaScript.
5. Knowledge of API testing and web services.
6. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

A day in the life

1. Understand requirements and create test plan/strategy.
2. Create and execute detailed test suites.
3. Leverage Automation, Performance and Load testing experience to execute projects.
4. Communicate updates to teams and engage with product teams to facilitate UAT.

About the team
The goal of Promotions team is to earn Customers’ trust and pass more value through multiple Affordability levers. To achieve this we have 3 key focus areas: a) Enhance the India Customer Experience (CX) and Seller Experience (SX) for the basket-building and deals affordability levers, b) Build and extend automated capabilities that help Sellers Value Match with competition on our platform, c) Maximize profitability by introducing guardrails and fraud detection capabilities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 1+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience in UI and API automation testing (Selenium/SOAPUI)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in API & Mobile testing
- Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and control
