Job summary

INFINX is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer (Modern Age QA) in Mumbai. The role blends manual testing with an automation mindset and AI-assisted testing, requiring adaptability and ownership beyond traditional 9-to-5 expectations.

You will design test scenarios for web, mobile, and API layers, explore edge cases, and collaborate in an agile environment. Flexible timings and client-time-zone alignment are part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of STLC, test case design, bug lifecycle.
• Ability to think critically, trace issues to root causes, and question assumptions.
• Learning agility to pick up new tools, frameworks quickly.
• Desire to grow into QA automation, with or without hands-on experience.
• Basic AI tooling awareness for testing (ChatGPT, Copilot).

Responsibilities

• Design and execute manual and exploratory tests across web, mobile, and API layers.

About the Role

We are looking for a Modern Age QA Engineer who doesn't "test" but thinks, questions, and evolves. If you're someone who blends solid testing fundamentals with a hunger for automation, a sharp reasoning mind, and the ability to leverage AI tools to supercharge quality this role is for you.

This is not a traditional QA role. We want someone who can adapt quickly, learn fearlessly, and operate with ownership beyond the 9-to-5 mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Manual & Exploratory Testing: Design and execute comprehensive test cases across web, mobile, and API layers with a keen eye for edge cases
• Automation Ready Mentality: Strong willingness to learn and implement test automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, or similar)
• AI-Powered Testing: Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) to accelerate test creation, data generation, bug analysis, and reporting
• Critical Reasoning & Root Cause Analysis: Apply strong logical reasoning to identify, isolate, and articulate bugs with clarity
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and designers in an agile/scrum environment
• Client Alignment: Operate on client time zones when required; comfortable working outside strict time boundaries to meet delivery commitments
• Continuous Learning: Stay ahead of the curve - explore new tools, methodologies, and AI advancements in QA
