All About the Role
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a key role in improving Electrolux’s efficiency, leveraging cutting‑edge modern technologies and solutions. You will work closely with highly qualified technical teams, not only to deliver high‑quality solutions but also to ensure these solutions generate real business value. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong technical expertise with a passion for making the world a better place.
What You’ll Do
- Ensure the quality of code developed
- Approve pull requests on the source code version control system
- Define and perform unit and functional tests on the compiled application
- Monitor and report on the speed and quality of the code developed
- Ensure the fulfillment of the business requirements
- Provide suggestions on how to improve the SDLC processes implemented
Who Are You
- Kind and respectful.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Proven seniority (5+ years) in coding (reference languages: JAVA, C#, ReactJS). This includes being part (as coder or code reviewer) of at least two projects with at least one critical point (e.g., more than 500 concurrent users, no unplanned downtime allowed, specified time constraints to be correct, …).
- Basic knowledge of SDLC processes and at least two models.
- Basic knowledge of ITIL processes (“value” concept and terminology – issue, problem, incident, …).
- Basic knowledge of containerization, principles and tools. This includes having, at least once, created a container and having it running on‑prem or on the Cloud.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud platform, architecture and modules. This includes the topics covered by the AZ900 certification (even if the certification is not required for this position).
- Nice to have: practical knowledge of IBM Red Hat OpenShift, overview and components.
- Nice to have: practical knowledge of Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect.
- Nice to have: ability to read and write/draw using ArchiMate modelling language and BPMN.
- Nice to have: practical experience in using any test automation tool.
- Problem‑solving attitude.
- Willingness to learn by doing.
- Innovative and with a genuine interest in technology and a pragmatic approach to delivery.
- Strong collaboration skills, including experience with, and ability to lead external developers teams, providing guidance on how to improve coding style and delivery speed.
- Self‑driven, proactive, and passionate about continuous improvement.
- Fluent in English.
- Able and willing to travel as required (less than 10% of the time).
This is a full‑time position, based in Bangalore, India.
