Job summary

Lumenci seeks a QA professional to own QA for fast-moving products, with hands-on testing across web apps, APIs and automation frameworks. You will drive test strategy, release readiness, and quality gates while collaborating with engineering and product teams.

Ideal candidates have strong automation skills (Playwright/Cypress), API testing, and scripting in JavaScript/TypeScript. This contractual role offers exposure to AI/LLM testing challenges and multi-tenant systems.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of hands-on QA experience testing production web apps with ownership of test strategy and release quality.
• Strong experience in test automation using Playwright or Cypress; built or maintained automation frameworks.
• Strong API testing experience covering functional, negative, auth, contract and edge cases.
• Hands-on coding in JavaScript/TypeScript; SQL, Git and CI/CD required; Python exposure a plus.
• Experience with manual, exploratory and regression testing; writing test plans and reproducing defects.
• Define release readiness / quality gates; own feature readiness to ship.
• Exposure to testing AI/LLM products; challenges like hallucinations and non-deterministic outputs.
• Understanding of RAG / retrieval-based systems; distinguish retrieval vs generation failures.
• Experience testing authentication, authorization and multi-tenant apps preferred.
• Exposure to performance/load or security testing with k6, JMeter, Locust or Burp Suite is a plus.
• Senior IC capable; own QA for a fast-moving eng/product team.
• Strong bug reporting, test cases and reproducible steps.
• This is a contractual role; fixed-term engagement from day one.

Job description

• Strong experience in test automation using Playwright or Cypress; should have built or maintained automation frameworks for evolving products.
• Strong API testing experience covering functional, negative, authentication/authorization, contract and edge-case scenarios.
• Hands‑on coding experience in JavaScript/TypeScript; working knowledge of SQL, Git and CI/CD is required. Python exposure is a plus.
• Experience with manual, exploratory and regression testing, including writing test plans, reproducing defects and validating fixes.
• Should have experience defining release readiness / quality gates and be comfortable taking ownership of whether a feature is ready to ship.
• Exposure to testing AI/LLM-based products is strongly preferred, including challenges such as hallucinations, non‑deterministic outputs, prompt/model changes and incorrect or unsupported responses.
• Understanding of RAG / retrieval‑based systems and the ability to distinguish retrieval failures from generation failures is a strong advantage.
• Experience testing authentication, authorization, access control and multi‑tenant applications will be preferred.
• Exposure to performance/load testing or security testing using tools such as k6, JMeter, Locust or Burp Suite is a plus.
• Should be able to work as a senior individual contributor, independently owning QA for a fast‑moving engineering/product team.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear bug reports, test cases/test plans and actionable reproduction steps.
• This is a contractual role; candidates should be comfortable joining for a fixed‑term engagement and taking hands‑on ownership from day one.
