Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Testing Analyst to join our QA team and help automate testing, design robust test plans, and run high-quality regression tests across Billing and Funding and Payment Processing domains.

You will participate in Agile ceremonies, troubleshoot complex issues, and document defects with clear re-tests in Rally/Jira. Strong SDLC/STLC knowledge and API testing experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in software testing with a focus on functional testing
• Automation and SQL skills with at least 3 years experience
• Experience with API testing using Swagger & Postman is a plus

What you’ll own

• Your role will involveautomating testing processes , creating scripts for high-level regression testing and designing comprehensive test plans.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems and follow-up to closure
• Investigation and reporting of defects/bugs discovered , following re-test after fix in Rally/Jira. Delivering regular progress/status reports as required.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives , contributing to a culture of continuous improvement
• Manage projects from start to finish, including gathering requirements, designing test scenarios, analyzing test results, and providing detailed reports with actionable recommendations.

Extra consideration if you have:

• Sound understanding and experience of Agile working practices
• A background with financial services industry practices, regulations and processes.
• Knowledge of the Generative AI Platforms (GitHbub Copilot, etc.)

What you bring

• 3-5 years of experience in software testing with a focus on functional testing and highly skilled experience in Functional Test approach and Test documentation.
• Must have: Automation, SQL skills , with the ability to use SQL to query and manipulate data for analysis and testing for at least 3 years.
• Good to have: Knowledge in SOAP API, REST API , for automation testing. Working knowledge of API technologies, including the use of Swagger & Postman.
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate technical and non-technical issues.
• Good problem-solving skills, commitment to detail and the ability to learn quickly.
• Must be a self-starter, personable, approachable and willing to think outside the box looking for opportunities to streamline processes. This position entails working closely with both development and other quality assurance members to create and maintain processes measurements.
• Expertise in SDLC & STLC phases includes - Requirements analysis, Test Planning, Test Case Design, Test Estimation, Test Automation, Test Artifacts documentation, Test Execution, Defect Management, Test Reporting and Review.
• Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise with other resources.
• Experience working with tools including JIRA, Rally, Jenkins, Git etc.
• Ability to work in virtual teams that are located across multiple locations.
