Job summary

flydocs is seeking an Automation Test Engineer with 3-5 years of experience in test automation, API testing, and quality engineering. You will build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, and performance testing, driving improvements across releases.

The ideal candidate excels with Playwright, TypeScript, Cucumber BDD, API automation, and CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins and GitLab, and will contribute to robust test coverage and quality-first engineering.

Qualifications

Design and maintain scalable UI automation frameworks using Playwright, TS, and Cucumber BDD.
CI/CD automation pipelines in Jenkins, integrating UI and API suites for continuous testing.
Develop and execute API automation tests validating functionality and data integrity.
Use GitLab for source control, reviews, and release management.
Leverage AI-assisted tools to boost automation development.
Perform sanity, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests.
Create and maintain test cases, data, and documentation.
Create and maintain test datasets with dynamic data generation.
Monitor daily automation executions, analyze reports, identify defects, and track resolution.
Participate in automation script reviews and adhere to coding standards.
Identify flaky scripts and implement improvements for reliability.
Analyze defects and update regression suite to minimize leakage.
Track automation coverage and quality metrics.
Design and execute performance tests using JMeter.
Write SQL queries to validate backend data.

Monitordaily automation executions, analyse test reports, investigate failures,identify defects or script issues, and track them through resolution andclosure.
Participatein automation script reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards,framework guidelines, and test automation best practices.
Identifyflaky automation scripts, perform root cause analysis, and implementimprovements to enhance automation reliability and stability.
Analyse defects and production issues and addcorresponding scenarios to the regression suite to minimize defectleakage and improve overall product quality.
Track automation coverage, execution trends, andquality metrics, and provide recommendations to improve automationeffectiveness and test efficiency.
Design,develop, and execute performance test scripts using JMeter, analyseperformance reports, identify bottlenecks, and provide recommendations forsystem optimization.
Writeand execute SQL queries to validate backend data, verify data integrityacross systems, and support functional, API, and end-to-end testingactivities.
