Job summary

HSBC Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Qlik Sense Developer to lead dashboard creation and production support for Finance Operations. The role involves building dashboards, loading data from diverse sources, and delivering scalable BI solutions across on-prem and cloud environments.

You will deploy, test, and train end users while ensuring data quality and incident management. Strong SQL, Excel, Python, VBA, and Appian knowledge are highly valued.

Qualifications

• MCA/BCA/B.E/B.Tech with 5+ years in large corporations.
• Strong skills in Qlik Sense and SQL, with Excel proficiency.
• Knowledge of Python, VBA, Appian or Xceptor is an added advantage.
• Experience in incident management and data quality analysis.
• Ability to work across locations and communicate with senior management.

Responsibilities

• Work within the Finance function preparing dashboards for the Finance Function and Business users.
• Create dashboards using BI Tools for Business Performance Metrics which includes Financial and Non-Financial metrics.
• Load data from the data sources into the BI Tools using the HSBC IT recommended architecture, development methodology and build the front end applications.
• Create scalable dashboards incorporating regular feedback and implementing changes (in an agile approach).
• Develop Visualisation apps in on-prem & Cloud Environment.
• Deploy and maintain applications in the relevant server and perform user acceptance test.
• Document the dashboard development & configuration process and train the end users.
• Provide Production Support and Maintenance for Dashboards.
• Assist / Train Dashboard SME’s and Citizen developers as required.

Purpose of the role

The incumbent of this role is accountable and responsible for managing and strengthening the FSO, Production Support. The overall objective is to create an environment where there is minimum or no surprises, enhanced awareness amongst employees, timely escalations, and strict monitoring of application performance and manage incidents and queries effectively & efficiently. The role’s critical success factors include managing relations within Finance Operations and the larger HSBC Finance community; ability to work across teams/ sites/ time zones; influencing business outcomes. The role holder will be accountable and responsible for managing & strengthening FSO & SM sub function, provide production support for Business Finance, Data Finance Visualisation and Stress Testing.

In this role, you will:

To be successful you will:

• MCA/BCA/B.E /B Tech : 5+ years of experience in working in large corporations
• Visualization tools – Qlik Sense. Working knowledge on SQL will be an added advantage. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
• Knowledge of Automation and Workflow tools – Python , Xceptor , VBA , Appian will be added advantage.
• Good Knowledge of Incident management tools and recovery process.
• Experience of Data quality analysis and understanding of Data will be an added advantage.
• Ability to work in large teams across multiple locations. Strong presentation creation and delivery skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with team members/wider business including senior executive management and ability to develop a good rapport in challenging situations.
