Job summary

Master Mind Consultancy is seeking a data validation and market analysis professional to support QIS index computations and ensure accurate input data. You will work with Trading Desks and regional teams to resolve data breaks and deliver tailored reports to clients.

The role emphasizes ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to improve processes within a fast-paced financial middle-office environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate or MBA in Finance or related field.
• Strong understanding of financial markets and products.
• Basic knowledge of OTC derivatives desirable.
• Knowledge of index strategies and calculation methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Validate market data and ensure input data accuracy for index calculations.
• Monitor index levels and investigate data breaks and discrepancies.
• Prepare customized analytical reports for end clients.
• Coordinate with Trading Desks and regional teams to resolve breaks within timelines.
• Work with middle-office stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and timely execution.
• Identify process gaps and suggest improvements for operational efficiency.
• Support continuous process improvement and maintain strong control standards.

Job description

• Perform data validation and analysis of market data used for quantitative investment strategy (QIS) index computations.
  
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of input data used for index calculations and validation.
  
• Monitor index levels and investigate discrepancies or data breaks.
  
• Prepare customized reports and analytical outputs for end clients.
  
• Coordinate with Trading Desks, regional teams, and counterparties to resolve identified breaks within timelines.
  
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth middle-office operations and data accuracy.
  
• Take ownership of assigned activities and ensure timely and accurate execution.
  
• Identify process gaps and suggest improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  
• Support continuous process improvement and maintain strong control standards.

Requisites

• Graduate / MBA in Finance or a related discipline.
  
• Finance background with a good understanding of financial markets and products.
  
• Basic understanding of OTC Derivatives is desirable.
  
• Knowledge of Index strategies and index calculation methodologies.
  
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
  
• Basic knowledge of Python would be an added advantage.
  
• Ability to validate market data, identify discrepancies, and perform data analysis.
  
• Good communication and coordination skills to work with Trading Desks and regional stakeholders.
  
• Strong ownership, attention to detail, and accountability.
