Yojana Organics is seeking a QC Chemist (Entry-Level to Junior) in Pune to perform quality control testing, calibrate and maintain instruments, and prepare quality reports. This role suits fresh graduates or junior chemists looking to gain hands-on experience in chemical analysis within a manufacturing setting.

The candidate will work with UV-Vis, pH meters, conductivity meters, and other analytical tools, while ensuring compliance with GMP and company SOPs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (BSc) is required.
  • 0–2 years of QC laboratory experience; fresh graduates welcome with strong academics.
  • Knowledge of GMP and quality control principles.
  • Good documentation and data recording skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and ERP/LIMS basics.

Responsibilities

  • Calibrate QC instruments and maintain calibration records.
  • Perform chemical tests on raw materials and finished products.
  • Prepare quality reports and certificates based on analyses.

Role Summary

As a QC Chemist, you will perform quality control testing, maintain laboratory instruments, prepare quality reports, and ensure all finished products and raw materials meet specifications. This role is ideal for a fresh graduate or junior chemist looking to build hands-on expertise in chemical analysis and quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
Instrument Calibration & Maintenance
  • Calibrate QC instruments ( UV-Vis, pH meters, conductivity meters, etc.) as per standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly calibration schedules and records
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment
  • Ensure all instruments are functioning within acceptable tolerance limits
  • Document calibration data and maintain calibration certificates
Sampling & Raw Material Quality
  • Collect representative samples of raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products as per sampling procedures
  • Perform receipt inspection and initial assessment of incoming materials
  • Maintain chemical and reagent stocks in the lab with proper labeling and FIFO rotation
  • Track reagent expiry dates and ensure timely replacement
  • Ensure proper storage conditions for all chemicals and reagents
Testing & Analysis
  • Conduct chemical tests and analyses on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products
  • Use analytical techniques including titration, chromatography, spectrophotometry, and gravimetric analysis
  • Perform physical and chemical property testing (pH, viscosity, density, color, etc.)
  • Record test results accurately in laboratory notebooks and digital systems
Quality Reports & Documentation
  • Prepare finish product test reports and quality certificates
  • Maintain laboratory records with complete traceability and documentation
  • Create and update specifications and methods of analysis as per company standards
  • Ensure all QC reports comply with regulatory requirements and company SOP
Investigation & Non-Conformance
  • Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and document findings
  • Identify root causes of failed batches or non-conforming materials
  • Support corrective and preventive action (CAPA) procedures
  • Prepare investigation reports and recommend process improvements
General QC Operations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laboratory and equipment
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and laboratory safety protocols
  • Maintain confidentiality of quality data and product information
  • Support periodic audits, inspections, and quality reviews
Qualifications
Essential
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry BSC
  • Candidate should be SINCERE and SERIOUS about his/her CARRER
  • 02 years of experience in QC laboratory (freshers with strong academics welcome)
  • Strong understanding of chemical analysis techniques and basic analytical instruments
  • Knowledge of quality control principles and GMP guidelines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic ERP/LIMS systems
  • Good attention to detail and strong documentation skills
Preferred
  • Experience in chemical manufacturing or pharmaceutical quality control
  • Knowledge of Indian chemical product standards and regulatory requirements
  • Basic understanding of process quality and batch documentation
  • Internship or project experience in analytical chemistry
