Job summary

BigTapp Analytics invites an experienced ETL Tester to support enterprise Data and Data Warehousing projects. You will validate data pipelines, ensure data accuracy, and work with Developers, Data Engineers, and Business teams in a contract role based in Hyderabad/Chennai.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of ETL testing experience, strong SQL skills, and exposure to Informatica IICS/IDMC, Informatica PowerCenter, or Databricks. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential for success.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements to prepare ETL test scenarios and test cases.
• Validate source-to-target mappings and transformation rules.
• Execute SQL queries to validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
• Perform data reconciliation between source and target systems.
• Validate ETL workflows and data loads using Informatica or other ETL tools.
• Conduct data quality checks and profiling to identify data issues.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, and data validation testing.
• Identify and track defects and coordinate with development teams for resolution.
• Support test data preparation, test execution, defect management, and reporting.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, ETL Developers, and Business Analysts throughout the project lifecycle.

Job Summary

BigTapp is seeking an experienced ETL Tester to support enterprise Data and Data Warehousing projects. The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience in ETL testing, SQL, data validation, reconciliation, source-to-target mapping, data quality, and profiling, with exposure to ETL tools such as Informatica IICS/IDMC, Informatica PowerCenter, or Databricks. The role will involve validating data pipelines, ensuring data accuracy and completeness, and working closely with Developers, Data Engineers, and Business teams.

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands‑on experience in ETL/Data Testing with strong SQL skills
• Experience with data validation and reconciliation across source and target systems
• Strong understanding of Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) validation
• Experience in data quality checks and profiling
• Good understanding of Data Warehousing concepts
• Experience working with ETL tools, preferably Informatica IICS/IDMC or Informatica PowerCenter
• Ability to validate ETL transformations, business rules, aggregations, and data loads
• Basic scripting knowledge, preferably Python
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities

• Support test data preparation, test execution, defect management, and reporting
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, ETL Developers, Business Analysts, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Support production validation and investigation of data-related issues

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• Certification in ETL Testing, Data Testing, Informatica, or related technologies is an added advantage

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation, reconciliation, joins, aggregations, and data comparison
• Hands‑on experience with Informatica IICS/IDMC or Informatica PowerCenter for ETL/data integration validation
• Good understanding of Data Warehousing concepts, including Facts, Dimensions, ETL processes, and data flows
• Experience performing Source-to-Target Mapping validation and validating transformation logic
• Strong knowledge of data validation, reconciliation, data quality, and data profiling
• Experience testing ETL pipelines, batch processes, data loads, and transformation workflows
• Basic knowledge of Python scripting for data validation or test automation
• Exposure to Databricks or other modern data platforms is an advantage

• Hands‑on experience with ETL/data integration projects
• Experience working with Informatica is preferred
