Deutsche Bank Pune invites a QA Senior Engineer AVP to design and implement scalable automation solutions that align with business goals. You will mentor peers, drive test strategy, and deliver robust assets while collaborating with development teams in an Agile setting.

You will apply data-driven, keyword-driven and hybrid testing approaches, using Java/Kotlin/Python, Cucumber and React-based UI automation, with strong SQL knowledge and experience across end-to-end delivery in a banking context.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of automation experience
• Experience in Cucumber/Java/Kotlin/Python
• Experience with BDD and UI automation using React
• Strong SQL knowledge and data handling
• Experience with data-driven/keyword-driven/hybrid frameworks
• Proactive with good communication and problem solving

Job Description:

Job Title - QA Senior Engineer, AVP

Location - Pune, India

Role Description

• Senior Engineer is responsible for designing and developing entire engineering solutions to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of this role include ensuring that solutions are well architected, with maintainability and ease of testing built in from the outset, and that they can be integrated successfully into the end-to-end business process flow. They will have gained significant experience through multiple implementations and have begun to develop both depth and breadth in a number of engineering competencies. They have extensive knowledge of design and architectural patterns. They will provide engineering thought leadership within their teams and will play a role in mentoring and coaching of less experienced engineers.
• Senior Engineer is expected to work under the guidance of leads/Senior Analysts and would be instrumental in developing solutions approved by the Automation Test Architect or Test Manager. Should adhere to timelines, prescribed quality and MTS. They should be experienced in the tool, technology and skill area being considered for. Should have a fair understanding of automation testing frameworks and techniques.

Your key responsibilities

• Should be creative and proactive thinker to develop/maintain extensible automation scripts/assets confirming to industry best practices and applying the latest techniques in test automation; e.g., data-driven testing
• Use risk-driven techniques to develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites.
• Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed, and test environments used.
• Develop and maintain reusable functions, which improve the robustness, re-usability, and maintainability of the test scripts.
• Should be involved and contribute in automation framework design.
• Work with the Development team to understand and challenge application design, capture and reuse automated Test Cases, Test Stubs and Drivers, and other Development test objects to deliver a reusable, easy to maintain UAT test automation pack.
• Hands‑on software development
• Experience in Agile and Scrum delivery

• Articulate issues and risks to management in timely manner

Your skills and experience

• Should have 5+ years of relevant automation experience
• Strong programming and development skills in Cucumber, Java , Kotlin , Python
• Experience of BDD and UI test automation using React
• Strong and Database and SQL knowledge.
• Hands‑on working experience on Test Automation using one or more techniques: Data Driven, Keyword Driven and Hybrid Framework.
• Should be good at problem solving and debugging with excellent analytical skills
• Hands‑on working experience in regression test suite maintenance
• Should be able to analyse manual UAT test cases, specs, business processes and requirements and convert
• Proactive and assertive attitude
• Good in verbal & written communication
• Knowledge of Investment Banking domain added advantage
• Good understanding of STLC and latest test methodologies and processes.
• Good understanding of Data Warehouse projects/programs.
• Proactive, disciplined and good sense of time management
• Experience in Agile
• Maven/Artifactory/TeamCity or Jenkins
• Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies
• Experience with end‑to‑end design and delivery of solutions

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Openshift, GCP
• Experience with build and deployment
• Unix scripting and hands on experience

Skills/ Qualifications

• Degree/Masters engineering or software/technology related subject (or equivalent certification and/or relevant work experience)
• Industry / Domain Experience: Desirable
• Hands‑on knowledge of enterprise technology platforms supporting the Finance, Risk and Treasury domains would be an advantage. For example:
• Knowledge of the Finance/controlling domain and end‑to‑end workflow for a banking & trading business.
• Knowledge of the investment banking, sales & trading, asset management and similar industries is a strong advantage.

Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
