Job summary

Paytm Payments Services is seeking a QA Automation – Lead QA to drive testing strategy across web, mobile, and API layers. You will analyze requirements, design test cases, and lead automation efforts using Selenium, Appium, and API testing frameworks in a Linux/Agile environment.

The role requires 6+ years in SDET/QA automation, strong Java skills, SQL proficiency, and experience with Jira, Jenkins, Eclipse, JUnit, Maven, and related tools.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as SDET or QA automation.
• Analyzing requirements/PRD and creating test cases.
• Experience in sanity, functional, re-testing, integration and regression testing.
• Experience in Web, mWeb, and mobile application testing.
• Experience in API testing (Web Services).
• Experience in writing SQL queries and exposure to MySQL DB.
• Hands-on in Jira and defect lifecycle.
• Working experience in Linux and understanding Agile methodology.
• Experience in Selenium WebDriver and Appium; API automation and Java.
• Familiarity with Eclipse, JUnit, Maven, and open-source testing tools.
• Scripting with shell, Python, Perl, or Ruby; Jenkins exposure is a plus.
• Candidates from E-commerce domain preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements/PRD and derive test cases.
• Execute sanity, functional, integration and regression tests across Web, mobile, and API layers.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts (Selenium/Appium) and API automation.
• Write and validate SQL queries against MySQL databases.
• Track defects through Jira and participate in triage and fixes.
• Work in a Linux environment and follow Agile practices.

Expectations/ Requirements

• 6+ Years of experience working as SDET or QA automation.
• Analyzing requirements/PRD and creating test cases.
• Should be well versed in sanity, functional, re-testing, integration and regression testing.
• Experience in Web, mWeb, mobile application testing.
• Experience in API (Web Services) testing.
• Experience in writing SQL queries and exposure to MySQL DB.
• Should be well versed in defect life cycle and have hands‑on experience in Jira.
• Working experience in Linux.
• Understands aspects of Agile methodology.
• Experience in Selenium Web Driver/Appium.
• Experience in API automation.
• Experience in Programming language preferably Java.

• Experience in Eclipse, JUnit, Maven, Testing etc. open source tools.
• Experience in scripting with any of the languages like shell, python, perl, ruby.
• Good to have Jenkins exposure.
• Candidates from the E‑commerce domain would be preferred.
