• Strong understanding of web, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled QA Platform Engineer / QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Quality Engineering and Test Automation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in modern automation frameworks such as Playwright, along with strong programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.

You will be responsible for designing and developing scalable automation solutions, improving test coverage, integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, and supporting quality engineering initiatives across cloud-native and distributed applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks.
• Build and execute automated functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end tests.
• Develop robust automation solutions using Playwright and Python/JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bamboo, or similar tools.
• Perform API testing for REST-based services and microservices.
• Validate applications deployed on cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS.
• Implement test data management and database validation using SQL.
• Apply modern Quality Engineering practices including Shift-Left Testing, Risk-Based Testing, BDD, TDD, and Continuous Testing.
• Contribute to framework scalability, code quality, reusable components, and automation best practices.
• Explore and leverage AI-assisted testing and engineering tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Support testing of AI-enabled applications, including reliability, evaluation, and guardrail validation where applicable.
• Collaborate with developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Analyse automation failures, identify root causes, and continuously improve test reliability.
• Maintain test documentation, reports, and automation-related artefacts.

Required Skills

• 4–7 years of experience in Quality Engineering / Test Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building or maintaining scalable automation frameworks.
• Strong understanding of web, API, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bamboo, or similar.
• Good understanding of cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Good understanding of software testing methodologies and automation best practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to Have

• Experience with SQL and database testing/validation.
• Experience with BigQuery, data warehouses, or data lakes.
• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, or Asset Management.
• Experience with AI-assisted testing or AI engineering tools.
• Knowledge of testing AI-enabled applications.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Jira/Xray or similar test management tools.
• Experience with Serenity, PyTest, Cucumber, Selenium, or similar automation technologies.

Education

Candidates from Tier 1 / Tier 2 universities or colleges are preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Strong hands-on automation experience rather than purely manual testing.
• Ability to independently design, develop, and troubleshoot automation frameworks.
• Strong coding and debugging capabilities.
• Candidates currently based in or around Gurugram/NCR are preferred.
• Candidates with Banking/Financial Services experience will be preferred.
