Job description

Responsibilities

• Understanding of payments and banking domain fundamentals required.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for native and hybrid mobile applications (Android/iOS).
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks using a tool like Appium.
• Conduct API testing as part of end-to-end validation of mobile workflows.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of automation frameworks and QA processes.
• Assisting in root cause analysis and providing detailed documentation of defects and test results.
• Supporting test execution in CI/CD environments and integrating test automation into pipelines.
• Participate in critical design activities to ensure that the product under development meets requirements and can be effectively tested.
• Effective at quickly understanding technology and explaining it in non-technical terms.
• Taking ownership of technical issues and working with developers to resolve issues as and when required.
• Analysing trends of bugs and getting them fixed.
• Be aware of product updates, ux trends, and new technologies.
• Use multiple platforms like JIRA, Git, AWS, Jenkins, Firebase, Grafana, etc.
• Establish and maintain productive relationships with developers, product managers, and other team members.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities to meet the deadlines.
• Maintain a high level of quality while working under pressure and deadlines.

Requirements

• Tech graduates with 3 to 4 years of experience.
• Hands-on experience with Appium.
• Proficient in any scripting language: Java, Python, JavaScript.
• Experience in testing mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms.
• Strong knowledge of mobile testing strategies, UI interactions, and device-specific behaviours.
• Good understanding of ADB commands, simulators, emulators, and real-device testing.
• Exposure to mobile performance and crash analysis tools.
• Solid understanding of software testing lifecycle, QA methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience with REST API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Knowledge of cross-browser testing using tools like BrowserStack.
• Strong sense of teamwork, personal integrity, responsibility & accountability.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiar with Best Practices in Test Automation.
