Job summary

The Digital Group Infotech in India is seeking a QA Tester with 2+ years experience in manual testing of web and mobile apps, preferably with HRMS domain exposure. You will design and execute test cases, log defects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality.

Ideal candidates understand SDLC/STLC, have strong analytical skills, and are comfortable in an Agile/Scrum setting, contributing to ongoing improvements in testing processes and documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in QA/manual testing of web and/or mobile apps.
• Experience with HRMS modules is a plus.
• Proficiency in writing and executing test cases.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools (Jira/Azure DevOps).
• Basic SQL and data validation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual testing of web/mobile apps to ensure quality.
• Test HRMS modules like Recruitment, Attendance, Payroll, Leave Management.
• Prepare test scenarios and test cases from requirements/user stories.
• Execute functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing.
• Log, track, and verify defects; retest fixes.

• Validate UI, data accuracy and user experience; maintain test docs.

Job description

KRA:

• Perform manual testing of web and/or mobile applications to ensure product quality and functionality.
• Test HRMS modules such as Recruitment, Employee Management, Attendance, Leave Management,Payroll, Performance Management, or Employee Self-Service.
• Understand business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories to prepare test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute functional,regression, smoke, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Identify, document,track, and report software defects using bug-tracking tools.
• Verify defect fixes and perform retesting to ensure issues are resolved.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to resolve issues.
• Validate application workflows, UI elements, data accuracy, and user experience.
• Maintain test documentation and provide regular updates on testing progress.
• Ensure the application meets quality standards before release.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 02 years of experience in software quality assurance or manual testing.
• Experience in web application or mobile application testing is mandatory.
• Exposure to at least one HRMS module is preferred.
• Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Knowledge of functional testing, regression testing, smoke testing, and retesting.
• Ability to write and execute test cases and test scenarios.
• Familiarity with defect-tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation is an advantage.
• Good analytical,problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new technologies and business processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience testing any HRMS product or application.
• Understanding of HR processes such as employee onboarding, leave management, attendance, payroll, or recruitment.
• Exposure to API testing tools such as Postman is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of automation testing is a plus, but not mandatory.
