Job summary

WebBee is seeking an experienced QA professional to lead testing efforts for SaaS applications, covering functional, regression, API, and exploratory testing across orders, inventory, and fulfilment workflows. You will review requirements, write detailed test cases, and perform API tests with Postman while mentoring junior QA engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • 35 years of relevant software testing experience.
  • Manual testing of web-based or SaaS applications.
  • REST API testing with Postman or equivalent.
  • Ability to inspect logs and understand JSON requests, responses, errors and integration flows.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and defect investigation.
  • Experience creating test scenarios, test cases, regression suites and release checklists.
  • Experience reviewing requirements and refining acceptance criteria.
  • Good understanding of defect lifecycle, severity, priority and root-cause evidence.
  • Experience participating in production issue analysis and release validation.
  • Ability to independently manage assigned testing from requirement review to release sign-off.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor or guide junior QA team members.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute functional, regression, integration, API, database and exploratory testing for SaaS applications.
  • Understand end-to-end workflows involving orders, inventory, fulfilment, tracking, webhooks, schedulers and third-party APIs.
  • Review product requirements, user stories and development tasks before implementation begins.
  • Refine acceptance criteria, identify missing business scenarios and highlight ambiguities, dependencies and risks.
  • Create detailed test cases, test data, traceability checklists and release-validation plans.
  • Perform API testing using Postman or equivalent tools, including request validation, authentication, headers, payloads, response codes and negative scenarios.
  • Inspect application logs, JSON payloads, webhook data and database records to support defect analysis.
  • Write basic to intermediate SQL queries for backend validation and data investigation.
  • Classify issues as product defects, configuration problems, data issues, third-party failures or expected behaviour.
  • Reproduce customer-reported production issues and provide clear evidence to engineering teams.
  • Participate in production issue analysis, hotfix validation, release sign-off and post-release checks.
  • Create high-quality defects with steps to reproduce, actual results, expected results, impact, evidence, environment and severity.
  • Guide junior QA engineers on test design, defect quality, regression scope and release readiness.
  • Work closely with developers, product analysts, business analysts, support and operations teams.
  • Contribute to QA standards, reusable test suites, release checklists and defect-prevention practices.
  • Use Playwright knowledge, where applicable, to understand or contribute to basic automation coverage.

  • Basic understanding of Java applications, Spring Boot logs, schedulers, queues and webhooks.
  • Experience with Jira, Zoho Projects or another issue‑tracking tool.
  • Experience in a product‑based SaaS company or fast‑growing technology environment.
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD and release pipelines.
