Job summary

OneByZero is hiring a QA Engineer to own automated testing across our product suite and build reliable test coverage for the NEO platform.

This is an automation-first, hands-on testing role. You'll write code every day, own quality end-to-end for major product surfaces, and have real influence over how we ship.

You'll design and maintain deterministic, scalable test suites for API, UI, and load tests, and collaborate with engineers to push quality upstream in a fast-growing cloud/SaaS environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in automated QA or SDET/QA ownership.
• Strong hands-on coding in TypeScript and/or Python.
• Proven depth in API/integration testing of microservices using code-based frameworks.
• UI automation experience with Playwright or Selenium, with stable, deterministic suites.
• Experience owning a regression suite: selection, maintenance, triage.
• Load/performance testing experience (k6).
• Comfort with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Git-based workflows.

OneByZero builds Neo, an enterprise agentic platform for creating and deploying AI agents across chat, voice, and messaging channels for major banks, telcos across APAC. We're hiring a QA Engineer to own automated testing across our product suite and build reliable test coverage for the NEO platform.

This is an automation-first, hands-on testing role. You'll write code every day, own quality end-to-end for major product surfaces, and have real influence over how we ship.

What you'll do

• Own QA end-to-end for key product areas — define the test strategy, build the automation, and be accountable for release quality.
  
• Design and maintain deterministic, reliable automated tests across the pyramid: API/integration, end-to-end UI, regression, and load.
  
• Build and scale our API integration test suites (Jest/TypeScript over live HTTP) against live microservices — covering auth, contracts, data lifecycle, and error paths.
  
• Convert our existing manual test suite into automated regression coverage and keep CI green.
  
• Run load and performance testing (k6) — modeling scenarios, defining SLOs, and reporting on results.
  
• Integrate tests into CI/CD (GitHub Actions), manage flaky tests, and improve reporting and gating.
  
• Partner with engineering to catch issues early and raise the quality bar across the team.
  

Requirements

What we're looking for

• 5+ years in automated QA, ideally in an SDET or QA-ownership capacity.
  
• Strong hands-on coding in TypeScript and/or Python — our entire test estate is code, version-controlled, and CI-gated.
  
• Proven depth in API/integration testing of microservices using a code-based framework — Jest/Supertest, pytest, REST Assured, or similar (REST; bonus for GraphQL and contract testing).
  
• Solid experience with E2E UI automation (Playwright / Selenium) and a track record of building stable, deterministic suites.
  
• Experience owning a regression suite — selection, maintenance, and triage.
  
• Load/performance testing experience (k6).
  
• Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Git-based workflows.
  
• Demonstrated ownership and agency — you've led QA for real software (API, UI, integrations, regression, load) rather than just executing test plans.
  
• Background in enterprise software or a cloud/SaaS startup selling to enterprises.
  

Nice to have

• Experience testing conversational AI, voice/telephony, RAG/knowledge-base, or channel-integration products.
  
• Exposure to agentic / LLM-system testing (model-graded evals, guardrails, eval datasets) — a bonus, as we standardize on deterministic testing.
  
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes/Helm and AWS.
  
• Security or compliance testing exposure, ideally in a regulated/enterprise (banking, telco, insurance) context.
  
• Experience with owning test suite for Desktop / Mobile application
