Job summary

Toku Pte Ltd is expanding its QA function in a growing startup environment. We are looking for a QA professional with a passion for quality, attention to detail, and experience shaping a growing QA function.

You will review quality specs and design docs, create test plans and test cases, estimate and coordinate testing activities, and automate using open-source tools and AWS-based environments. English communication is essential for cross-regional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of software quality assurance experience, preferably in CCaaS/CPaaS or voice domains.
• Knowledge of QA methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
• SQL queries and scripting knowledge.
• Manual testing experience and automation tools such as Selenium/JUnit/TestNG.

Responsibilities

• Review quality specifications and design documents to provide feedback.
• Create detailed test plans and test cases.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
• Use AWS to set up test environments, monitor, and report results.
• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts with open-source tools.
• Identify and document bugs; conduct regression, integration, and performance tests.
• Track issues and verify fixes with the development team.
• Collaborate with customer support to investigate issues and leverage AWS monitoring tools.

What will you be doing?

• Reporting to our Lead QA Engineer. You will be
• Reviewing quality specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Estimating, prioritizing, planning, and coordinating quality testing activities.
• Utilising AWS technologies for test environment setup, monitoring, and reporting.
• Designing, developing, and executing automation scripts using open-source tools.
• Identifying and documenting bugs in the testing phase.
• Conducting regression, integration and performance testing after bugs are resolved.
• Identifying and documenting software defects, tracking issues, and working with the development team to verify fixes.
• Collaborating with customer support teams to investigate and resolve customer-reported issues. leveraging AWS monitoring tools for proactive issue detection.
• Staying up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
• Actively participating in knowledge sharing and contributing to the growth and development of the QA team.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• At least 3 - 7years of work experience in software software quality assurance, preferably in CcaaS, CPaaS, or Voice related domains.
• Good experience with QA methodologies, such as Agile, Waterfall or others.
• Knowledge in writing SQL queries and / or other scripting languages.
• Experience in manual testing, and proficiency in industry leading test automation tools such as Selenium, Junit, Test NG or others.
• Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) technologies, such as EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch or others preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS services for testing, such as AWS Device Farm or AWS CodeBuild or others preferred.
• Solid understanding of web technologies and APIs.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Has excellent interpersonal skills, with strong written and oral communication abilities in English (additional Asian languages would be a great bonus, for liaising with cross regional teams and partners).
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
• Continuous learning mindset, staying up-to-date with the latest QA trends and technologies.
• Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related subject.
