Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Test case design, execution, regression, and test reporting for sprint releases.
- Perform Black-box testing (requirements-driven) and Grey-box testing (using logs, configs, service behaviors).
- Basic to Intermediate Linux platform knowledge: SSH, basic shell commands, process/service checks, systemd/journald logs, network sanity checks. – Must
- Test distributed/event-driven workflows end-to-end (service-to-service interactions, async updates, reliability behaviors).
- Bug Life cycle, BDD Testing, TDD.
- Working knowledge of Python basics for test utilities (log parsing, data generation, quick sanity scripts).
- Strong defect reporting with evidence (steps, logs, screenshots, payloads) and effective triage communication.
- Use Jira for defect tracking, test execution status, and sprint reporting.
- Comfortable with GitHub/GitLab workflows: cloning, branching basics, reviewing changes, pulling logs/configs from repos.
- Good documentation habits: maintain test cases, checklists, release notes, and traceability where needed.
- Prior experience with embedded Linux, MQTT, or industrial/safety-critical systems, Selenium basics (for smoke/regression automation support; primary role remains manual) is a plus.
