Job summary

SEW in Noida, India is seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer with 2-5 years of hands-on experience in Selenium and Appium to strengthen our QA team.

You will design, develop, and run automated tests, collaborate with product and development teams, and help enhance our test frameworks while performing manual testing when needed.

Qualifications

• Must have working experience of UI testing using automation tools like Selenium, Appium for Web and Mobile apps.
• Good understanding of Selenium/Appium Architecture, POM and Page Factory.
• Knowledge of locators, Actions, and JavaScript Executor.
• Proficiency with TestNG; CI/CD experience desirable (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub).
• Strong Java programming with OOP, exceptions and collections.
• Experience with databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• API testing basics with Rest Assured; familiarity with Cucumber for BDD.
• Awareness of SDLC and Agile methodologies; strong communication and team skills.
• Ability to perform manual testing when necessary and document defects clearly.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Execute automated test cases and analyze results.
• Contribute to the improvement of test automation frameworks.
• Good to have experience with TFS, GitHub, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops or equivalent CI/CD
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java with strong knowledge of OOPS concept, Exception Handling and Collection Framework
• Experience working with databases (e.g.: MSSQL, PostgreSQL, Mongo Db etc.)
• Basic understanding of API testing using Automation tools like Rest Assured.
• Basic understanding of BDD concept with Cucumber as Tool
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in test automation.
• Perform manual testing when necessary to validate the functionality and performance
• Identify, document, and track software defects and issues.
• Collaborate with the development team to understand requirements and ensure testability.
• Strong knowledge of manual testing practices and methodologies for creating test scenarios, test cases with different test design techniques, Logging defects
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
