Endava is seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead to shape our automated testing strategy and drive Cypress-based test automation across components. You will mentor a team, align with CI/CD practices, and coordinate with developers to ensure robust, scalable test coverage.

The role requires hands-on expertise in Playwright/Selenium, TypeScript, API testing, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP). Bangalore-based work is expected with strong collaboration across functions.

Formación

• 7+ years of experience as a Lead QA Automation Engineer, end-to-end quality driving and automation strategy.
• Strong coding expertise with ability to design scalable automation solutions.
• Hands-on experience in Playwright or Selenium for automation.
• Typescript for building structured, reusable frameworks.
• Deep understanding of API automation using TypeScript, including schema validation and integration testing.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting across UI, API, backend, and environments.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub Actions or similar tool
• Ability to write clean, testable, and maintainable code, and enforce coding standards across the team.
• Proven ability to optimize test execution, eliminate flaky tests, and improve automation reliability.
• Good understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline creation, version control, and environment configuration.
• Strong working knowledge of Jira for test planning, tracking, and reporting.
• Good understanding of cloud platforms like AWS or GCP for test execution, environment setup, and tooling integration.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted automation tools (self-healing tests, AI-driven script generation, Copilot) to accelerate productivity.

• Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss testing strategies and release planning.
• Provide training to team members on automation best practices.
• Maintain documentation on issues, resolutions, and improvements in the automation process.
• Ability to independently develop and execute automation scripts in Cypress.

The Lead QA Automation will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the automated testing strategy for the organization and ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated testing solutions. This position demands a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of test automation frameworks, software development life cycle (SDLC), and a proven track record of successfully leading automation initiatives and and the ability to mentor and guide team members. You will be a key player in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of software releases while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
