Job Description Python DeveloperKey Responsibilities - Python Developer1. Application Development & UI/UX Design and develop full-stack web applications(frontend + backend) that visualize real-time risk metrics (Greeks, PnL, VaR, Credit Exposure) for traders and senior management.
- Create self-service reporting toolswhere risk managers can generate ad-hoc reports without relying on the data team.
- Experience in AWS will be added advantage.
2. Workflow Automation
Automate manual risk processes, such as:
- Daily EOD (End-of-Day) risk report generation and distribution. Qualifications
Must-Have (Hard Skills)
- Python Expertise:4 + years of professional Python development. Deep knowledge of Djangoor FastAPIfor backend development.
- Database Proficiency:Good experience in SQL or MS SQL Server.
- API Design:Strong experience in designing RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous request processing.
Nice-to-Have
- Frontend Skills:Proficiency in React.
- Cloud Platforms:Hands-on experience with AWS (especially serverless functions and managed databases).
- Commodity/Trading Domain Knowledge:Familiarity with trade lifecycles, PnL concepts, and risk metrics (even at a high level).
- Message Queues:Experience with RabbitMQ, Kafka, or Redis for real-time data streaming.
- Containerization:Experience with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Financial Libraries:Exposure to quant libraries (QuantLib) is a plus but not mandatory.
- Limit monitoring and breach alerting (email/Slack/Teams notifications).
- Data reconciliation between trading systems (e.g., CTRM/ETRM) and risk databases.
- Build approval workflow enginesfor credit limit increases or exception handling.
3. System Integration & Data Connectivity
Develop robust connectors and APIsto pull trade data from ETRM systems and market data from Bloomberg/Reuters.
- Build and maintain a unified data access layerthat serves cleansed, normalized risk data to all downstream applications.
- Integrate with external libraries and internal quant models (Python packages) and expose their outputs via RESTful APIs.
4. DevOps, Testing & Maintenance
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following software engineering best practices (OOP, design patterns, type hinting).
- Implement CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI) for automated testing and deployment.
- Manage containerized deployments using Docker/Kubernetes
