Job summary

Placenet Consultants seeks an experienced Python backend developer to build clean, scalable applications and RESTful APIs. You will work with FastAPI, Django, or Flask, and implement robust data models, APIs, and documentation.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, QA, DevOps, and UI developers, participate in reviews, and ensure code quality through tests and best practices while maintaining production systems.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in Python application development.
• Proven experience as a Python Developer or Backend Developer.
• Experience with Python web frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Familiarity with ORM frameworks such as SQLAlchemy or Django ORM.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth2, JWT, LDAP, and SSO.
• Familiarity with API documentation tools such as Swagger/OpenAPI.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as PyTest or UnitTest

Responsibilities

• Develop unit tests, integration tests, and automated test cases to ensure application quality.
• Enhance existing applications by analysing business requirements, preparing implementation plans, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor application health and provide production support when required.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, QA Engineers, DevOps Engineers, and UI Developers.
