Job summary

TEXORA is hiring a Python Developer to join our remote engineering team in India. The role requires 2+ years of hands-on Python experience and building scalable backend services, REST APIs, and database integrations.

You will work with Django, FastAPI, or Flask, integrate PostgreSQL/MySQL/MongoDB, and collaborate with front-end, QA, DevOps, and product teams. This is a fully remote, full-time position.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional Python development experience.
• Proficient in Python 3.x and REST API development.
• Experience with Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Familiar with PostgreSQL/MySQL and ORMs (Django ORM/SQLAlchemy).
• Knowledge of Git and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain backend applications in Python.
• Build RESTful APIs using Django, DRF, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Design database models and queries.
• Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Implement authentication/authorization using JWT/OAuth.
• Write clean, maintainable code with tests.
• Debug and optimize backend performance.
• Write unit/integration tests (PyTest/Django tests).

• Participate in code reviews and Agile/Scrum.
• Deploy and maintain apps in cloud environments.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Python Developer with 2+ years of hands-on experience to join our remote development team.

The candidate will be responsible for developing scalable backend applications, REST APIs, database integrations, third-party integrations, and maintaining high-quality production code.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Python.
• Build scalable and secure RESTful APIs using Django, Django REST Framework, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Design and implement database models and queries.
• Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL and/or MongoDB.
• Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
• Implement authentication and authorization using JWT/OAuth where required.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Debug application issues and optimize backend performance.
• Write unit and integration tests using PyTest or Django Test Framework.
• Work with Git/GitHub/GitLab for source-code management.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps engineers, and product teams.
• Participate in code reviews and Agile/Scrum development activities.
• Deploy and maintain applications in cloud environments where required.

Required Technical Skills

• 2+ years of professional Python development experience
• Strong knowledge of Python 3.x
• Hands-on experience with at least one:
• Django
• FastAPI
• Flask
• Strong understanding of REST API development
• Good knowledge of SQL and database concepts
• Experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL
• Knowledge of ORM such as Django ORM or SQLAlchemy
• Good understanding of Git and Git workflows

• Good debugging and problem-solving skills

Qualifications
