Job summary

Jobgether SRL, listed on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Python Developer in India (Remote). You will join a Site Reliability Engineering team focused on automating and scaling global network infrastructure.

You will design and build software using Python and modern DevOps practices to automate workflows, improve telemetry, and ensure reliability across distributed services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with at least two years of experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript with experience building scalable software systems.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, microservices, IaC, automation, and modern DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with metrics, dashboards, alerting, and observability for distributed infra.

Join a collaborative Site Reliability Engineering team focused on automating and scaling global network infrastructure. In this role, you will design and develop software solutions that streamline operational workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve system reliability. You will work at the intersection of software engineering, network architecture, and operations to enhance the monitoring and management of a distributed global backbone. By leveraging Python, cloud-native technologies, and modern DevOps practices, you will help build robust, scalable, and maintainable systems. You will also contribute to deeper network observability, enabling teams to identify issues and optimize infrastructure performance. This opportunity is ideal for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and making a measurable impact on large-scale digital services.

Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated systems that support operational workflows and provide actionable insights into global network infrastructure.
• Identify and eliminate bottlenecks caused by manual processes, repetitive tasks, operational inefficiencies, and technical debt.
• Build and enhance telemetry, monitoring, and observability solutions to improve visibility into network performance and reliability.
• Develop robust, scalable, and maintainable code using CI/CD pipelines, test-driven development, and iterative software design practices.
• Support the deployment and operation of cloud-native and third-party software using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Collaborate closely with architecture, engineering, and operations teams to identify improvement opportunities and deliver effective automation solutions.
• Continuously improve infrastructure reliability, operational efficiency, and the scalability of global networking services.

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with at least two years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or JavaScript, with experience designing and developing scalable software systems using appropriate frameworks and established software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices.
• Practical knowledge of containers, Kubernetes, service orchestration, microservices architecture, Infrastructure as Code, automation, and modern DevOps methodologies.
• Experience working with PostgreSQL and/or Apache Cassandra, along with an understanding of network telemetry and infrastructure monitoring.
• Familiarity with metrics collection, dashboards, alerting systems, and observability practices for distributed infrastructure.
• Ability to identify operational challenges and develop automation solutions that improve efficiency, reliability, and maintainability.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across software engineering and infrastructure teams.
• A proactive mindset, attention to code quality, and a commitment to continuous improvement and reliable software delivery.
