3. Job Responsibilities
Pipeline Development & Maintenance: Architect, build, and maintain scalable, reliable batch and streaming data ingestion pipelines from diverse internal and third-party sources using Python and cloud-native services.
Data Transformation & Modeling: Develop, test, and maintain modular, version-controlled data transformation models using dbt and complex SQL, following modern analytics engineering best practices.
Data Warehouse Optimization: Monitor, fine-tune, and optimize cloud data warehouses (primarily Google BigQuery) for query speed, concurrency, storage efficiency, and cost management.
Data Quality & Governance: Establish automated data quality frameworks, testing suites, alerting mechanisms, and documentation (e.g., dbt tests, Great Expectations) to guarantee data accuracy, schema integrity, and pipeline uptime.
Orchestration & Workflow Automation: Implement and maintain robust orchestration DAGs (e.g., Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer) with proactive alerting and dependency management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner directly with data analysts, data scientists, and product engineers to translate technical and business requirements into production-ready data assets and clear data contracts.
