Job summary

Tanisha Systems is seeking experienced backend engineers to design and maintain Python-based services, APIs, and data pipelines. You will optimize SQL databases and collaborate with data engineers to ensure scalable performance.

Qualifications

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Design, build, and maintain Python-based backend services, APIs, and data pipelines; manage and optimize SQL databases (schema design, query optimization, migrations) in collaboration with data engineers and analysts.
• Process Automation & AI: Integrate LLM API endpoints (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar) into existing backend applications and build LLM-powered automation workflows; apply strong prompt engineering to make outputs reliable and production-ready; partner with product/ops to identify and engineer automation opportunities.
• DevOps & Infrastructure: Own the full development lifecycle local dev through CI/CD to production — using Git, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP); monitor system health, manage incident response, and contribute to infrastructure-as-code standards.
• Collaboration & Communication: Translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders, write clear documentation, and act as a trusted technical partner — asking the right questions and pushing back when requirements are unclear.

Required Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

• Python
• Strong proficiency for backend development, APIs, and data processing; familiarity with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
• SQL
• Hands‑on experience with a relational database (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or equivalent) — query optimization, indexing, schema design, and ORMs (SQLAlchemy or equivalent).
• LLM Integration & Prompt Engineering
• Practical experience integrating LLM API endpoints (OpenAI, Anthropic, or open-source) into existing backend applications, with strong prompt engineering. Familiarity with agent frameworks (LangChain or similar) is a plus.
• DevOps
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP); IaC experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5-7 years in backend software development.
• Familiarity with vector databases, RAG pipelines, multi-agent orchestration, or workflow automation tooling for business operations.
