About the Role

As aPython Automation DeveloperatNCG, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing oursoftware development lifecyclethrough innovative automation solutions. Your expertise inPython, automation frameworks, and UI testing toolswill ensure the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our distributed backend applications. This role goes beyond writing scriptsits abouttransforming testing and automation practicesto enable faster, high-quality delivery. Youll collaborate closely with product managers, DevOps, and cross-functional teams, while also mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based BDD frameworksfor functional, regression, and end-to-end testing of distributed backend applications.
• ImplementUI automationusing tools likeSeleniumandPlaywrightto ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Write and executeunit, integration, and system tests, debug issues, and create test data aligned with defined test scenarios.
• Collaborate withproduct managers, DevOps, and developersto deliver high-quality, end-to-end solutions.
• Continuouslyevaluate and improve automation frameworksby adopting modern Python libraries and tools.
• Takeownership of automation projects, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Mentor and guide junior automation engineers, fostering a culture of learning and accountability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degreein Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 69 years of experiencein automation testing, with a strong focus on Python.
• Hands-on expertise withPython automation frameworks(e.g., BDD frameworks like Behave, pytest-bdd, or Cucumber).
• Strong experience inUI automation toolssuch asSelenium and Playwright.
• Solid understanding ofSDLC, STLC, and testing methodologies(functional, regression, integration).
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and test data preparation skills.
• Excellentcommunication skillsto convey complex technical concepts clearly.
• Leadership abilitieswith experience mentoring and guiding team members.
