Job summary

Job Title

Lead Python Automation Test Engineer

Role & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based automation test frameworks using Pytest and Selenium.
• Create and execute automated test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.
• Develop scalable and reusable automation solutions for web applications.
• Perform API testing for REST and SOAP web services.
• Work with Pytest/BDD frameworks to improve automation efficiency and coverage.
• Analyze test failures, identify defects, and perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Work with Oracle databases and SQL for data validation and backend testing.
• Perform testing involving SFTP, Shell Scripting, and SOA architecture.
• Collaborate closely with Development, QA, and Product teams to understand requirements.
• Maintain test documentation, test cases, checklists, and automation reports.
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning, and backlog activities.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks, testing processes, and overall product quality.
• Mentor junior QA/automation engineers and contribute to technical decision-making.
