Job summary

GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company, seeks an experienced Python Architect to design scalable, secure platforms and lead architectural decisions across cloud, APIs, and distributed systems.

You will guide engineering teams, shape the technology roadmap, and ensure standards with ADRs and system diagrams while collaborating with stakeholders and data science leads.

Qualifications

• Experience as Technical Architect or Staff Engineer for global, high-volume systems.
• Strong Python proficiency and API framework expertise (FastAPI, Flask).
• Cloud expertise in AWS and GCP with microservices and distributed data.
• Ability to document ADRs and system diagrams.
• AdTech domain experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• System Design & Vision: Define architectural blueprints for high-throughput, low-latency engines.
• Technical Governance: Establish and evolve engineering standards and patterns; conduct architecture reviews.
• Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Engineering Director, PMs, and Data Science leads to translate business goals into tech roadmaps.
• Cross-Pollination: Identify opportunities for shared services across the Optimization suite to reduce technical debt.
• Mentorship & Influence: Lead senior engineers through technical authority and clarity.
• R&D & Innovation: Prototype AI/ML solutions and stay ahead of AdTech developments.

Description

We are looking for an experienced Python Architect to design and lead the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance applications and platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Python, software architecture, cloud technologies, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems, along with the ability to guide engineering teams and make key technical decisions.

Requirements

• MUST HAVE SKILLS: FAST API, Django/ Flask, AWS/ GCP, microservices, RESTful APIs, event-driven systems, and distributed applications.
• Architectural Mastery: Proven experience as a Technical Architect or Staff Engineer designing global, high-volume, transactional data systems. Specific expertise in AdTech is preferred.
• Distributed Systems Expert: Deep mastery of concurrent, distributed systems and "Big Data" architecture. You should be able to navigate the nuances of CAP theorem, data consistency, and latency in a global environment.
• Tech Stack Fluency: Extensive experience with Python and Python API frameworks (FastAPI, Flask) and deep proficiency in BigQuery, and Kafka. You must be an expert in public cloud infrastructure (AWS and GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker).
• Data-Centric Design: Exceptional skills in data modeling and query optimization
• Engineering Excellence: A champion of modern DevOps. architect systems that make Trunk Based Development, TDD, and SRE possible at scale. Experience in incorporating AI in SLDC cycles to bring efficiencies
• Communication & Documentation: Ability to explain complex technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and produce high-quality architectural documentation (ADRs, system diagrams).
• Resilience & Ambiguity: Proven ability to provide technical clarity in high-pressure, ambiguous environments where business requirements evolve rapidly.

Job responsibilities

• System Design & Vision: Define the architectural blueprints for high-throughput, low-latency optimization engines. Ensure systems are designed for growth in data volume and impression delivery.
• Technical Governance: Establish and evolve engineering standards, architectural patterns, and "golden paths" for the team. Conduct architecture reviews to ensure simplicity, security, and scalability.
• Strategic Collaboration: Partner with the Engineering Director, Product Managers, and Data Science leads to translate commercial goals into technical roadmaps. Influence the "Buy vs. Build" decisions for the tech stack.
• Cross-Pollination: Identify opportunities for shared services and reusable components across the Optimization suite to reduce technical debt and engineering friction.
• Mentorship & Influence: Coach Senior Engineers and Tech Leads, fostering a culture of architectural thinking. You don't manage people; you lead through technical authority and clarity.
• R&D & Innovation: Maintain a pulse on the AdTech landscape. Prototype novel solutions using emerging AI/ML frameworks
