Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services is seeking an experienced Technical Lead Backend (Python / FastAPI / Azure) to drive backend architecture and cloud-native solutions across PAN INDIA. You will lead design, development, and deployment of scalable services, mentor teams, and ensure robust, secure enterprise applications.

The role emphasizes expertise in Python, FastAPI, and Microsoft Azure, with hands-on architectural responsibilities and a focus on CI/CD, microservices, and data security.

Qualifications

• Strong Python development experience.
• Hands-on with FastAPI or similar Python frameworks.
• Designing REST APIs and microservices architecture.
• Deep knowledge of Azure services: AKS, App Services, Functions, Key Vault, Service Bus.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficient CI/CD with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Cosmos DB or MongoDB.
• Auth: OAuth2, JWT, Azure AD.
• Git, version control, and Agile practices.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead with strong expertise in Python, FastAPI, and Microsoft Azure to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable backend applications and cloud‑native solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in architecting microservices, REST APIs, cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and mentoring development teams while ensuring high performance, security, and reliability of enterprise applications.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in Python development.
• Hands‑on expertise with FastAPI, Flask, or similar Python frameworks.
• Experience in designing and developing REST APIs and Microservices architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services including App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Storage, Azure Key Vault, Azure Service Bus, and Azure Monitor.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Cosmos DB, or MongoDB.
• Experience with authentication and authorization mechanisms including OAuth2, JWT, and Azure AD.
• Proficiency in Git, version control, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with event‑driven architectures and message queues.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates).
• Exposure to AI/ML integrations, Azure OpenAI, or cloud‑native data platforms.
• Azure certifications such as Azure Developer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
