Persistent is seeking an experienced Python AI Architect to design, build, and scale enterprise AI solutions. You will lead the design of LLM-based systems, RAG pipelines, and agentic architectures, working across cloud-native platforms.

About Position:

We are looking for an experienced Python AI Architect to design, build, and scale enterprise-grade Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Generative AI solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Python, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Agentic AI, and cloud-native architectures. You will be responsible for architecting innovative AI platforms, establishing technical standards, and delivering scalable AI-powered applications that solve complex business problems across industries.

What You'll Do:

• Architect and design end-to-end AI/ML and Generative AI solutions using Python and modern AI frameworks.
• Design scalable enterprise applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs), RAG architectures, vector databases, and intelligent agents.
• Build AI platforms and reusable frameworks leveraging LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face, and related ecosystems.
• Develop and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines including document ingestion, chunking, indexing, embedding generation, retrieval, reranking, and response generation.
• Design backend services and APIs using FastAPI, Flask, Python, and cloud-native development practices.
• Integrate commercial and open-source foundation models including Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Llama, Mistral, Claude, and Hugging Face models.
• Define architecture standards, AI governance practices, security controls, and scalability frameworks for enterprise AI deployments.
• Evaluate and implement vector databases including Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate, Milvus, and Azure AI Search.
• Lead technical architecture discussions, solution reviews, proof-of-concepts, and AI innovation initiatives.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, product teams, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver AI-powered business solutions.
• Define AI deployment, monitoring, observability, evaluation, and performance optimization strategies.
• Guide teams on prompt engineering, model selection, AI evaluation, and responsible AI practices.
• Mentor developers and AI engineers while driving engineering excellence and technical best practices.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 9-11 years of software engineering, AI/ML engineering, or solution architecture experience.
• Strong expertise in Python application development and enterprise solution architecture.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) solutions.
• Proven experience designing and implementing Generative AI applications and Large Language Model (LLM)-based systems.
• Deep knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architecture patterns and implementation strategies.
• Experience with Agentic AI frameworks and AI orchestration platforms.
• Strong hands-on expertise in LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, and Hugging Face ecosystems.
• Experience with prompt engineering, prompt optimization, model evaluation, and AI performance tuning.
• Expertise in vector databases such as FAISS, Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, Chroma, or Azure AI Search.
• Strong understanding of embedding models, semantic search, ranking techniques, and knowledge retrieval systems.
• Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, and modern ML frameworks.
• Experience designing scalable APIs and backend services using FastAPI, Flask, and Python microservices.
• Knowledge of AI deployment, MLOps, model monitoring, and AI lifecycle management practices.
• Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native design patterns.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and mentoring capabilities.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and ability to drive innovation initiatives.
